James Bateman
Group lead / principal investigator
James leads the Optomechanics Group in the Department of Physics at Swansea University. He is principal investigator on the group’s current projects: LEVITAS, LOTIS, OSIAN, and NAMIQOS.
His research spans levitated optomechanics, matterwave interferometry, and Bayesian inference and experiment design, with a particular interest in taking levitated optomechanics into space.
